अ॒पां यो अग्ने॑ प्रति॒मा ब॒भूव॑ प्र॒भूः सर्व॑स्मै पृथि॒वीव॑ दे॒वी। पि॒ता व॒त्सानां॒ पति॑र॒घ्न्यानां॑ साह॒स्रे पोषे॒ अपि॑ नः कृणोतु
apā́ṃ yó agné pratímā babhū́va prabhū́ḥ sárvasmai pṛthivī́va devī́ | pitā́ vatsā́nāṃ pátir aghnyā́nāṃ sāhasré póṣe ápi naḥ kṛṇotu
He who, O Agni, hath become the waters’ very counterpart—mighty for all, like Earth the Goddess—father of calves, lord of the inviolable cows: in thousandfold thriving let him make it come upon us.
