ಈ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಪತಿ-ಲಾಭ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವು ಸಮಾಜಸಮ್ಮತ ವಿವಾಹಬಂಧಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾದ ಆರ್ಯಮನನ್ನು, ಕನ್ಯೆಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದ ವರನನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಪತ್ನಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಬೇಡುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿವಾಹ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ವಲಯವನ್ನು ("ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಭೆ/ಸಂಗಮ") ಇದು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೈವಿಕ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಮೇಲುಗೈ ದೊರಕಲೆಂದು ಕೋರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತಿಮ ಋಚೆ ಧಾತೃನ ವಿಶ್ವಕ್ರಮಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ ವಿವಾಹವು ಋತ (ಸ್ಥಿರ ಕ್ರಮ)ದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸಂತಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ದಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

पतिलाभः। अ॒यमा या॑त्यर्य॒मा पु॒रस्ता॒द् विषि॑तस्तुपः । अ॒स्या इ॒चछन्न॒ग्रुवै॒ पति॑मु॒त जा॒याम॒जान॑ये
ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಯಮನ್ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಸ್ತುತಿ ಸುಸಂಯೋಜಿತವಾಗಿ. ಈ ಕನ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಪತ್ನೀತ್ವವನ್ನು—ಸಂತಾನೋತ್ಪತ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ—ಕೊಡಲು.

अश्र॑मदि॒यम॑र्यमन्न॒न्यासां॒ सम॑नं य॒ती। अ॒ङ्गो न्वऽर्यमन्न॒स्या अ॒न्याः सम॑न॒माय॑ति
ಓ ಆರ್ಯಮನ್, ಈ ಕನ್ಯೆ ಇತರ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಹೌದು, ಈಗ ಓ ಆರ್ಯಮನ್, ಅವಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಇತರ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೂ ಆ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ (ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿನಿಯರಂತೆ).

धा॒ता दा॑धार पृथि॒वीं धा॒ता द्यामु॒त सूर्य॑म्। धा॒तास्या अ॒ग्रुवै॒ पतिं॒ दधा॑तु प्रतिका॒म्यऽम्
ಧಾತೃನು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಧಾತೃನು ದ್ಯೌ (ಆಕಾಶ) ಮತ್ತು ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅದೇ ಧಾತೃನು ಈ ಕನ್ಯೆಗೆ ಇಚ್ಛೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ (ಪ್ರತಿಕಾಮ್ಯ) ಪತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಿ/ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಿ.
