ಅಥರ್ವಣ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ AV 6.36 ಸೂಕ್ತವು ಋತದ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ವೈಶ್ವಾನರ-ಅಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಆವಾಹಿಸಿ, ಶೀತ, ದುರ್ಭಾಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ರಮದ ಭಂಗವನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡುವ ನಿರಂತರ ಘರ್ಮ (ರಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಉಷ್ಣತೆ)ವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡುತ್ತದೆ. ನಂತರ ಅಗ್ನಿಯ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಗೃಹಾಗ್ನಿಯಿಂದ ವಿಶ್ವನಿಯಾಮಕನ ತನಕ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ—ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸುವವನು, ಋತಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಋತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮ್ಮಿಲನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವವನು, ಮತ್ತು ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣತೆಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವವನು ಎಂದು ವರ್ಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತಿಮ ಮಂತ್ರವು ಈ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಏಕೈಕ ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವಾಗಿ ಕಿರೀಟಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಅಗ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಮ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಭೂತವೂ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವೂ ಆದ ಎಲ್ಲದರ ಮೇಲಿನ ಆಳುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಏಕೀಭವಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

वैश्वानरः। वऋ॒तावा॑नं वैश्वान॒रमृ॒तस्य॒ ज्योति॑ष॒स्पति॑म्। अज॑स्रं घ॒र्ममी॑महे
ವೈಶ್ವಾನರ—ಋತದಿಂದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧನಾದ ವೈಶ್ವಾನರನನ್ನು, ಋತದ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನು—ಅವಿರತ ಉಷ್ಣತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.

स विश्वा॑ प्रति॑ चाक्लृप ऋ॒तूंरुत् सृ॑जते व॒शी। य॒ज्ञस्य॒ वय॑ उत्ति॒रन्
ಆ ವಶೀ—ನಿಯಂತ್ರಕನು—ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಂತೆ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಋತಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಋತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಯಜ್ಞದ ಪ್ರಾಣಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಸಿ (ಪೂರ್ಣತೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ) ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.

अ॒ग्निः परे॑षु॒ धाम॑सु॒ कामो॑ भू॒तस्य॒ भव्य॑स्य । स॒म्राडेको॒ वि रा॑जति
ಅಗ್ನಿಯು ದೂರದ ಧಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವನು; ಆಗಿರುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಆಗಲಿರುವದಕ್ಕೂ ‘ಕಾಮ’ (ಇಚ್ಛಾಶಕ್ತಿ/ಕಾಮದೇವ) ಆಗಿರುವನು. ಏಕಮಾತ್ರ ವಿಶ್ವಸಮ್ರಾಟನಾಗಿ ರಾಜಸ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
