ಈ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಅಥರ್ವವೇದೀಯ ಸೂಕ್ತವು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಮಂತ್ರ-ಪ್ರಯೋಗವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಭೌತಿಕ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ (ವಸು/ಶ್ರೀ) ಯನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞದ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೋಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಗವೇ ‘ಗೆಲ್ಲಿಸುವ’ ಸಾಧನವಾಗಿ, ಕರ್ತನೊಳಗೆ ಧನವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವ ಉಪಕರಣವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವರ್ಗ್ಯವಾದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ವರವೂ ಇದೆ: ಅಗ್ನಿ, ಸೋಮ, ಪೂಷನ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ದೈವಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಮೋದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಮತ್ತು ಫಲವನ್ನು ‘ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಬೆಳಕಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ’ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಯ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಮುದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ—ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಲೋಕೀಯ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯೂ, ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಭದ್ರ ಕ್ಷೇಮವೂ ಎಂದು ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

२ आर्च्युष्णिक्, ३ साम्नी पङ्क्तिः, ४ परोष्णिक्। जि॒तम॒स्माक॒मुद्भि॑न्नम॒स्माक॑म॒भ्यऽष्ठां॒ विश्वाः॒ पृत॑ना॒ अरा॑तीः
ನಮಗೆ ಜಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಅದು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ; ಎಲ್ಲ ಯುದ್ಧಗಳ ಎದುರು, ಎಲ್ಲ ದುಷ್ಟ ವೈರವೈಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳ ಎದುರು ನಾವು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

तद॒ग्निरा॑ह॒ तदु॒ सोम॑ आह पू॒षा मा॑ धात् सुकृ॒तस्य॑ लो॒के
ಅದನ್ನು ಅಗ್ನಿಯು ಹೇಳಿದನು; ಅದನ್ನೇ ಸೋಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು: ಪುಷನ್ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಕೃತ (ಸತ್ಕರ್ಮ)ದ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಿ.

अग॑न्म॒ स्वः॑१ स्वऽरगन्म॒ सं सूर्य॑स्य॒ ज्यो॑ति॑षागन्म
ನಾವು ಸ್ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ಸ್ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೇ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ: ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

व॒स्यो॒भूया॑य॒ वसु॑मान् य॒ज्ञो वसु॑ वंसिषीय॒ वसु॑मान् भूयासं॒ वसु॒ मयि॑ धेहि
ಮಹತ್ತರ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಗೆ—ಧನಸಂಪನ್ನ ಯಜ್ಞ: ಧನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಗಳಿಸಲಿ; ನಾನು ಧನವಂತನಾಗಲಿ. ಹೇ ವಸು (ಸಂಪತ್ತು), ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸು.
It is primarily paustika (prosperity), but it frames prosperity as ‘excellence’ and stable good fortune, ratified by merit (sukṛta) and sealed in solar luminosity—so it also aims at well-being and auspicious destiny.
Agni and Soma function as authoritative witnesses of the spoken resolve, while Pūṣan is the guiding/placing deity who is asked to establish the performer securely in the ‘world of well-wrought merit,’ making the prosperity stable and protected.
It treats wealth as a power that can be invited to ‘settle’ within you—i.e., to become steady, retained prosperity—rather than a temporary gain, and it is the hymn’s clearest sealing request for lasting abundance.
