Sukta 3
येना॑दि॒त्यान् ह॒रितः॑ स॒म्वह॑न्ति॒ येन॑ य॒ज्ञेन॑ ब॒हवो॒ यन्ति॑ प्रजा॒नन्तः॑ । यदेकं॒ ज्योति॑र्बहु॒धा वि॒भाति॒ तस्य॑ दे॒वस्य॑ । क्रु॒द्धस्यै॒तदागो॒ य ए॒वं वि॒द्वांसं॑ ब्राह्म॒णं जि॒नाति॑ । उद् वे॑पय रोहित॒ प्र क्षि॑णीहि ब्रह्म॒ज्यस्य॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्च॒ पाशा॑न्
yénādityā́n harítaḥ saṃváhanti yénā yajñéna bahávo yánti prajānántaḥ | yád ékaṃ jyótir bahudhā́ ví bhāti tásya devásya | kruddhásyaitád ā́go yá eváṃ vidvā́ṃsaṃ brāhmaṇáṃ jinā́ti | úd vepaya rohita prá kṣiṇīhi brahmajyásya práti muñca pā́śān ||
Whereby the green-tawny steeds convey the Ādityas; whereby, by sacrifice, many—knowing—attain their course; that one Light which shineth forth in manifold wise—of that God. This is the offence against the wrathful One: whoso thus a knowing Brahman wrongs. Up, make him tremble, O Rohita; waste him away: upon the Brahman-hurter loose back the nooses.
ಯಾವುದರಿಂದ ಹರಿತ ಅಶ್ವಗಳು ಆದಿತ್ಯರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಯಾವ ಯಜ್ಞದಿಂದ ಅನೇಕರು—ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು—ತಮ್ಮ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು/ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆ ಒಂದೇ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಅನೇಕ ವಿಧವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುವುದು—ಆ ದೇವನದು. ಕ್ರುದ್ಧನಾದ ಆ ದೇವನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಇದು ಅಪರಾಧ: ಹೀಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವವನು/ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವನು. ಹೇ ರೋಹಿತ, ಅವನನ್ನು ನಡುಗಿಸು; ಅವನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷೀಣಗೊಳಿಸು; ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಹತ್ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಂಧನದ ಪಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡು (ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕು).
