Sukta 2.21
सत्रासाहो जनभक्षो जनंसहश्च्यवनो युध्मो अनु जोषमुक्षितः । वृतंचयः सहुरिर्विक्ष्वारित इन्द्रस्य वोचं प्र कृतानि वीर्या ॥
satrā́sāho janabhakṣó janaṃsaháś cyávanó yudhmó ánu jóṣam ukṣitáḥ | vṛtáṃcayáḥ sáhurir vikṣv ā́ritá índrasya vocaṃ prá kṛtā́ni vīryā́ ||
सदा-विजयी, शत्रु-समूहों का भक्षक, जनों को वश करने वाला, प्रेरक-चालक, युद्धशील, जो आनन्द से बढ़ता है; जो ऋत (ऋतम्) को संचित करता और दुष्टों को दण्डित करता है, कुलों के बीच सक्रिय—उस इन्द्र के सिद्ध किए हुए वीर्य-कर्मों का मैं उद्घोष करता हूँ।
