यत्त्वया पृच्छ्यते देवि तच्छृणुष्व वसुन्धरे ॥ स्थितिं सत्तां तु मर्त्यानां भक्त्या ये च व्यवस्थिताः

હે દેવી, હે વસુંધરે! તું જે પૂછે છે તે સાંભળ. (હું) મર્ત્યોની સ્થિતિ અને સત્તા, તેમજ ભક્તિમાં સ્થિર રહેનારાઓનું પણ (વર્ણન કરીશ).
