Soma Pavamāna
આ સંક્ષિપ્ત પવમાન સોમ સ્તુતિમાં ગાળણીમાંથી શુદ્ધ થતો સોમ આહ્વાનિત થાય છે. સર્વવિજયી શક્તિ તરીકે તેની સ્તુતિ કરીને યજમાન માટે પ્રાણશક્તિ, સમૃદ્ધિ અને આનંદ જીતાડવા વિનંતી થાય છે. સોમને સંતતિથી સમૃદ્ધ એવો ખજાનો લાવવા, ઉપાસકને સર્વ કઠિનાઈઓ પાર કરાવવામાં સહાય કરવા, અને પ્રેરિત કાવ્યમય બુદ્ધિને યજ્ઞવિધિમાં તેમજ અંતરચેતનાના આંતરિક વેદીમાં સ્થાપિત કરવા પ્રાર્થના કરવામાં આવે છે.

पवस्व गोजिदश्वजिद्विश्वजित्सोम रण्यजित् । प्रजावद्रत्नमा भर ॥
પવિત્ર થા, હે સોમ—ગોજિત્ (કિરણ-ગાયોનો વિજેતા), અશ્વજિત્ (પ્રાણબળ-અશ્વનો વિજેતા), વિશ્વજિત્ (સમગ્ર અસ્તિત્વનો વિજેતા), રણ્યજિત્ (આનંદનો વિજેતા); પ્રજાવાન રત્નરૂપ ખજાનો અમારે માટે લાવ.

पवस्वाद्भ्यो अदाभ्यः पवस्वौषधीभ्यः । पवस्व धिषणाभ्यः ॥
અદાભ્ય (અજેય) આપોમાંથી તું પવિત્ર થા; ઔષધિઓમાંથી પણ તું પવિત્ર થા. અમારી ધિષણા (ધી-શક્તિઓ/પ્રેરણાઓ)માંથી તું પવિત્ર થા.

त्वं सोम पवमानो विश्वानि दुरिता तर । कविः सीद नि बर्हिषि ॥
હે સોમ, પવમાન બની તું સર્વ દુરીતોને પાર કર. કવિ (ઋષિ-ચેતના) બની, અમારા અંતરમાંના બર્હિષિ (પવિત્ર આસન) પર બેસી જા.
Mantra 4
पवमान स्वर्विदो जायमानोऽभवो महान् । इन्दो विश्वाँ अभीदसि ॥
હે પવમાન, સ્વર્-વિદ (સૂર્યલોકનો શોધક), જન્મતાં જ તું મહાન, વિશાળ થયો. હે ઇન્દુ, તું સર્વ બળોને સર્વ દિશાથી દબાવી વશ કરે છે.
