जज्ञानो नु शतक्रतुर्वि पृच्छदिति मातरम् । क उग्राः के ह शृण्विरे ॥
Transliteration
jajñānó nu śatá-kratur ví pṛcchad íti mātáram | ká ugrā́ḥ ké ha śṛṇvire ||
Translation
હમણાં જન્મેલો શતક્રતુ ઇન્દ્રે અંતરમાં પોતાની માતાને પૂછ્યું: “કોણ છે તે ઉગ્ર, ભયંકર વીર? અને કોણ ખરેખર (મારા આહ્વાનને) સાંભળશે?”—જાણે સત્યયુદ્ધના સહાયકોને શોધતો હોય.
