Sukta 5.12
ऋतं चिकित्व ऋतमिच्चिकिद्ध्यृतस्य धारा अनु तृन्धि पूर्वीः । नाहं यातुं सहसा न द्वयेन ऋतं सपाम्यरुषस्य वृष्णः ॥
ṛtáṃ cikitva ṛtám íc cíkiddhy ṛtásya dhārā́ ánu tṛndhi pūrvī́ḥ | nā́haṃ yātúṃ sáhasā ná dváyena ṛtáṃ sapāmy aruṣásya vṛ́ṣṇaḥ ||
હે ઋતના જાણકાર, ઋતને જાણ; નિશ્ચયે ઋતને જ જાણ. ઋતની અનેક પ્રાચીન ધારાઓની અનુસરીને તું માર્ગ કાપ. હું તેને બળથી પહોંચી શકતો નથી, ન તો દ્વૈત/વિભાજિત ઉપાયથી; હું અરુષ (રુદ્રવર્ણ) વૃષભ—અગ્નિના તેજસ્વી બળ—ના ઋતને અનુસરી તેને પ્રાપ્ત કરું છું.
