अकारि ब्रह्म समिधान तुभ्यं शंसात्युक्थं यजते व्यू धाः । होतारमग्निं मनुषो नि षेदुर्नमस्यन्त उशिजः शंसमायोः ॥

Transliteration

akā́ri bráhma sam-idhāná túbhyaṃ śáṃsāti uktháṃ yájate ví ūṃ iti dhāḥ | hótāram agníṃ mánuṣo ní ṣeduḥ namasyánta uśíjaḥ śáṃsam āyóḥ ||

Translation

હે (અગ્નિ), તું પ્રજ્વલિત થતો હોય ત્યારે તારા માટે બ્રહ્મ (પવિત્ર વાણી) રચાયું છે; સ્તુતિગીત ઉક્થનું ગાન કરે છે અને યજમાન તેને યોગ્ય ક્રમમાં વિસ્તારે છે. મનુષ્યો હોતૃ અગ્નિ સામે બેસી ગયા છે; નમસ્કાર કરતા, ઉશિજ—ઉત્સુક સ્તોતાઓ—આયુના યશની સ્તુતિ શોધે છે.
