अश्वेव चित्रारुषी माता गवामृतावरी । सखाभूदश्विनोरुषाः ॥
Transliteration
aśvā́ iva citrā́ruṣī mātā́ gavām ṛtā́varī | sákhābhūd aśvínoḥ uṣā́ḥ ||
Translation
અશ્વ સમી ચિત્ર-અરુણી (ઉષા) અનેક વર્ણોમાં તેજે ઝળહળે છે; તે કિરણોની (ગાયો સમી) માતા છે, ઋતની વરણી અને ધારિકા છે. ઉષા અશ્વિનોની સખી બની છે—સહાય લાવતી ઝડપી શક્તિઓને તે આગળ દોરી જાય છે.
