Sukta 4.4
ऊर्ध्वो भव प्रति विध्याध्यस्मदाविष्कृणुष्व दैव्यान्यग्ने । अव स्थिरा तनुहि यातुजूनां जामिमजामिं प्र मृणीहि शत्रून् ॥
ūrdhvó bhava práti vidhyā́dhy asmád āvíṣ kṛṇuṣva daívyāny agne | áva sthirā́ tanuhí yātu-jū́nāṃ jāmím ajā́miṃ prá mṛṇīhi śátrūn ||
હે અગ્નિ, ઊર્ધ્વ ઊઠ અને પ્રતિહત કરી વિંધ; અમારામાંથી દૈવી શક્તિઓને પ્રગટ કર. યાતુજનાં (યાતુ-બળો)ની ગતિઓને નીચે પાડી દૃઢ રીતે ખેંચી રોક; શત્રુઓને—જામિ (સગા સમાન) હોય કે અજામિ (પરાયા)—સંપૂર્ણ રીતે ચુરચુર કરી નાખ.
