Sukta 4.2
एता ते अग्न उचथानि वेधोऽवोचाम कवये ता जुषस्व । उच्छोचस्व कृणुहि वस्यसो नो महो रायः पुरुवार प्र यन्धि ॥
etā́ te agne ucáthāni védho’ vocāma kaváye tā́ juṣasva | úc chocasva kṛṇuhí vásyaso no mahó rāyáḥ puru-vā́ra prá yandhi ||
હે અગ્નિ, વિધાતા, આ સ્તુતિ-વચનો અમે તને—કવિ, દ્રષ્ટા—ઉચ્ચાર્યા છે; તું તેમને પ્રસન્નતાથી સ્વીકાર. તું પ્રજ્વલિત થા; અમારે માટે વધુ શ્રેય કર. અનેક ઇચ્છનીય રૂપોથી સમૃદ્ધ એવી મહાન રાયિની પૂર્ણતા અમારી તરફ પ્રેર.
