Sukta 4.2
सुकर्माणः सुरुचो देवयन्तोऽयो न देवा जनिमा धमन्तः । शुचन्तो अग्निं ववृधन्त इन्द्रमूर्वं गव्यं परिषदन्तो अग्मन् ॥
su-kármāṇaḥ su-rúco deva-yánto’ yó ná devā́ jánimā dhámantaḥ | śucánto agníṃ vavṛdhánta índram ū́rvaṃ gavyáṃ pari-sádanto agman ||
સુકર્મા, સુરુચિ (ઉજ્જ્વલ તેજવાળા), દેવયંત—દેવ તરફ વળેલા—તેઓ શક્તિશાળી શ્વાસથી દેવો સમા પોતાનું જન્મ ઘડી કાઢતા. પોતાને શુદ્ધ કરતાં તેમણે અગ્નિને વધાર્યો અને ઇન્દ્રને દૃઢ કર્યો; જ્ઞાનકિરણરૂપ ગવ્યોના વિશાળ વાડા (ઉર્વ)ની આસપાસ જઈ બેઠા.
