Sukta 7.4
स गृत्सो अग्निस्तरुणश्चिदस्तु यतो यविष्ठो अजनिष्ट मातुः । सं यो वना युवते शुचिदन्भूरि चिदन्ना समिदत्ति सद्यः ॥
sa gṛtsó agnístarúṇaś cid astu yáto yáviṣṭho ájaniṣṭa mātúḥ | sáṃ yó vánā yuváte śúci-dam bhū́ri cid ánnā sám íd átti sadyáḥ ||
Que cet Agni soit pour nous la puissance ardente et jeune, fût-il très ancien — lui qui, de la Mère, naquit comme le plus jeune. Lui qui, promptement, s’unit aux forêts, pur, et aussitôt dévore même des nourritures abondantes; — qu’il prenne en nous tout ce qui doit être transmué en lumière.
