अपामुपस्थे महिषा अगृभ्णत विशो राजानमुप तस्थुॠग्मियम् । आ दूतो अग्निमभरद्विवस्वतो वैश्वानरं मातरिश्वा परावतः ॥
apā́m upásthe mahiṣā́ agṛbhṇata víśo rājā́nam úpa tasthur ṛ́gmiyam | ā́ dūtó agním abharad vivásvato vaiśvānaráṃ mātáriśvā parā́vataḥ ||
Dans le giron des Eaux, les puissants le saisirent ; les peuples s’avancèrent vers leur roi, riche en ṛg (chant sacré). En messager, Mātariśvan apporta Agni de Vivasvat — du lointain au-delà — Vaiśvānara, le feu caché, dans le domaine des œuvres humaines.
