Sukta 7.88
क्व त्यानि नौ सख्या बभूवुः सचावहे यदवृकं पुरा चित् । बृहन्तं मानं वरुण स्वधावः सहस्रद्वारं जगमा गृहं ते ॥
kvá tyā́ni nau sakhyā́ babhūvuḥ sácāvahe yád avṛkáṃ purā́ cit | bृहántaṃ mā́naṃ varuṇa svadhāvaḥ sahásra-dvāraṃ jagamā gṛháṃ te ||
¿Dónde están ahora aquellas antiguas amistades nuestras, cuando, juntos y en unidad, entrábamos — ya en tiempos remotos — en la amplitud sin daño? Oh Varuṇa, señor de la ley propia (svadhā), he llegado de nuevo a tu vasta casa de mil puertas — que esa ancha Verdad me reciba.
