Sukta 4.41
इन्द्रा ह यो वरुणा चक्र आपी देवौ मर्तः सख्याय प्रयस्वान् । स हन्ति वृत्रा समिथेषु शत्रूनवोभिर्वा महद्भिः स प्र शृण्वे ॥
índrā ha yó váruṇā cakrá ā́pī deváu mártaḥ sakhyā́ya práyasvān | sá hánti vṛtrā́ sam-ithéṣu śátrūn ávo-bhir vā mahád-bhiḥ sá prá śṛṇve ||
El mortal que ha hecho de Indra y Varuṇa sus compañeros íntimos por el pacto de la amistad —rico en energía de ofrenda—, ese hiere a los Vṛtra, las fuerzas de obstrucción, y en las batallas derriba a los hostiles; por sus auxilios, o por su inmenso poder, llega a ser aquel a quien se oye (cuya fama resuena).
