Ritual Procedure for Śrāddha: Sequence, Eligibility, and Offerings to Ancestors
तथेति चोक्ते तैर्विप्रैः प्रार्थनीयास्तथाशिषः । पश्चाद्विसर्जयेद्देवान् पूर्वं पैत्रान्महामते ॥ १४.३९ ॥
tatheti cokte tair vipraiḥ prārthanīyās tathāśiṣaḥ | paścād visarjayed devān pūrvaṃ paitrān mahāmate || 14.39 ||
Wenn jene Brāhmaṇas gesagt haben: «So sei es», sollen ebenso Segenswünsche von ihnen erbeten werden. Danach, o Hochweiser, sind die Gottheiten rituell zu entlassen — zuerst die Ahnen (Pitṛs).
