अस्य पीत्वा मदानामिन्द्रो वृत्राण्यप्रति । जघान जघनच्च नु ॥

Transliteration

asyá pītvā́ madā́nām índro vṛtrā́ṇy apratí | jaghā́na jaghánac ca nú ||

Translation

Nachdem er von diesen Rauschen (madá) getrunken hatte, erschlug Indra die Vṛtras, die keinen Widerstand dulden; er hat sie erschlagen – und auch jetzt schlägt er immerfort.
