Sukta 8.97
तन्म ऋतमिन्द्र शूर चित्र पात्वपो न वज्रिन्दुरिताति पर्षि भूरि । कदा न इन्द्र राय आ दशस्येर्विश्वप्स्न्यस्य स्पृहयाय्यस्य राजन् ॥
tán ma ṛtám indra śūra citra pātv apó ná vajrin duritā́ti párṣi bhū́ri | kadā́ na indra rāyá ā́ daśasyeḥ viśvá-psnyasya spṛhayā́yyasya rājan ||
Möge mich jenes Ṛta, Wahrheits‑Ordnung, behüten, o Indra, Held, Wunderbarer; wie Wasser, o Vajrin, trage mich weit über die schwer zu überwindenden Unwahrheiten hinaus. Wann wirst du uns, Indra, die Fülle des Seins gewähren – allausströmend, begehrenswert und nach der man sich sehnt, o König?
