अव चष्ट ऋचीषमोऽवताँ इव मानुषः । जुष्ट्वी दक्षस्य सोमिनः सखायं कृणुते युजं भद्रा इन्द्रस्य रातयः ॥

Transliteration

áva caṣṭa ṛcī́ṣamo’vatā́ṃ iva mā́nuṣaḥ | juṣṭvī́ dákṣasya somínaḥ sákhāyaṃ kṛṇute yújaṃ bhadrā́ índrasya rātáyaḥ ||

Translation

Der in den ṛc-Hymnen Weise blickt herab wie einer, der Mittel hat — ein Mensch unter Menschen. An der Tüchtigkeit Gefallen findend, macht der Soma-Darbringer Indra zum Gefährten und zum angeschirrten Bundesgenossen. Heilvoll sind Indras Gaben.
