अहितेन चिदर्वता जीरदानुः सिषासति । प्रवाच्यमिन्द्र तत्तव वीर्याणि करिष्यतो भद्रा इन्द्रस्य रातयः ॥

Transliteration

ahiténa cid árvātā jīrá-dānuḥ siṣāsati | pravā́cyam indra tát tava vīryā̀ṇi kariṣyató bhadrā́ índrasya rātáyaḥ ||

Translation

Selbst mit einem unfreundlichen Ross strebt der schnelle Spender nach dem Sieg; o Indra, dies ist zu verkünden — deine heldischen Kräfte für den Handelnden, der vollbringen will. Heilvoll sind Indras Gaben.
