Sukta 8.59
अवोचाम महते सौभगाय सत्यं त्वेषाभ्यां महिमानमिन्द्रियम् । अस्मान्त्स्विन्द्रावरुणा घृतश्चुतस्त्रिभिः साप्तेभिरवतं शुभस्पती ॥
ávocāma mahaté sáubhagāya satyáṃ tvéṣābhyāṃ mahimā́nam indriyám | asmā́nt sv indrāvaruṇā ghṛtáścutaḥ tríbhiḥ sāptébhiḥ avataṃ śúbhaspatī ||
Wahrheit haben wir gesprochen zum großen Heil: euch beiden, den stürmischen Mächten, gehört die gewaltige Größe wirksamer Kraft. Uns aber, o Indra und Varuṇa, die ihr von Ghee triefet, schützt durch die Drei und durch die Sieben (geordneten Kräfte), o Herren leuchtender Wonne.
