य उक्थेभिर्न विन्धते चिकिद्य ऋषिचोदनः । इन्द्रं तमच्छा वद नव्यस्या मत्यरिष्यन्तं न भोजसे ॥

Transliteration

yá ukthebhír ná vindháte cikíd yá ṛṣi-códanaḥ | índraṃ tám ácchā vada návyasyā matír áriṣyantaṃ ná bhojase ||

Translation

Wer (das Ziel) nicht durch bloßes Loblied findet, sondern erkennt — den der Antrieb des ṛṣi vorwärtstreibt: zu jenem Indra sprich geradehin; ein frischer Gedanke gehe zu ihm, unvergänglich, nach dem wahren Anteil an seiner Kraft verlangend.
