Sukta 8.37
क्षत्राय त्वमवसि न त्वमाविथ शचीपत इन्द्र विश्वाभिरूतिभिः । माध्यंदिनस्य सवनस्य वृत्रहन्ननेद्य पिबा सोमस्य वज्रिवः ॥
kṣatrā́ya tvám ávasi ná tvam ā́vitha śacī-pate índra víśvābhir ū́tibhiḥ | mādhyáṃdinasya sávanasya vṛtra-hann anédya píbā sómasya vajrivaḥ ||
Für kṣatra, die königliche Macht, gewährst du Schutz; keiner außer dir schützt sie, o Śacīpati Indra, mit all deinen Hilfen. Beim Mittags-Pressopfer, o Vṛtrahan, Tadelloser, trink vom Soma, o Vajrin, Träger des Donnerkeils.
