Sukta 8.24
Dakṣiṇā-focused line: aligns with Soma ritual gifting and the return of bounty to the sacrificers (sominaḥ).
reciprocity of sacrifice (dakṣiṇā), abundance/grace (rādhas), expansive energies (aśva)
Dakṣiṇā becomes a movement of ṛta when giving aligns with truth and right relation.
True increase is that which can be held ‘sthūram’—made steady in life without distortion.
Increase through sacrifice: energies offered to the higher delight return multiplied as force of being.
Proto-Vedāntic/Integral (Aurobindonian) reading: sacrifice as inner yoga of transformation.
Soma = bliss-substance; horses = mobilized life-force; abundance = consolidated spiritual power usable in embodied life.
Offer your dispersed energies to the inner Soma: let attention ‘press’ delight from experience without grasping.
Manipura (will/energy organization)
Moderate nāḍī-śodhana for 6–8 rounds, then silent repetition with exhalation emphasis.
Gathered, confident, quietly expansive (supported adbhuta into śānta).
Before work: inwardly dedicate (dakṣiṇā) your day’s force. During action: keep ‘many horses’ aligned. After: receive the ‘sthūra rādhas’ as steadiness, not excitement.
Use standard Rigvedic udātta/anudātta/svarita as per śākhā recitation; without full accent marks, keep a gentle rise on invocatory openings (ā) and settle on cadence words (rādhaḥ).
Emphasize: ā NĀRYASYA DÁKṢIṆĀ … ÉTU SOMÍNAḤ … STHŪRÁM CA RĀ́DHAḤ …
Hold long vowels: ā, ī, ū (e.g., ā, sthūram)., Retroflex clearly: ḍ in dakṣiṇā; ṣ in dakṣiṇā., Anusvāra before consonant: sominaḥ (soft nasalization as appropriate).
Steady, full-chested, ‘grounded’ tone to convey sthūratā (firmness).
