स सुक्रतुर्यो वि दुरः पणीनां पुनानो अर्कं पुरुभोजसं नः । होता मन्द्रो विशां दमूनास्तिरस्तमो ददृशे राम्याणाम् ॥

Transliteration

sa sukrátur yó ví dúraḥ paṇīnām punānáḥ arkáṃ purubhójasam naḥ | hotā mandró viśā́m damū́nās tirás támo dadṛśe rāmyā́ṇām ||

Translation

Er, der Sukratu, die Kraft rechten Unterscheidens, öffnet weit die Tore der Paṇis (der Horter des inneren Lichts); sich läuternd bringt er uns die inspirierte Flamme des Wortes hervor, die viele Kräfte nährt. Als freudiger, lichtvoller Hotar der Völker, als Hausbewohner (damūnās), wird er jenseits der Finsternis geschaut, unter den Holdseligen (rāmyāṇām).
