Transliteration

ayám u ṣyá sumáhā̃ avedi hótā mandró mánuṣo yahvó agníḥ | ví bhā́ akāḥ sasṛjānáḥ pṛthivyā́ṃ kṛṣṇápavir oṣádhībhir vavakṣe ||

Translation

Dieser hier wahrlich, der Große und Weite, ist kund geworden – der Priester des Menschen, der Erfreuende, der stürmische Agni. Er hat die Lichtglanzen ausgebreitet, sich über die Erde ergießend; und mit seiner dunkelrandigen Kraft hat er sich in die Pflanzen gehüllt – in die Gestalten des Lebens.
