सद्यो अध्वरे रथिरं जनन्त मानुषासो विचेतसो य एषाम् । विशामधायि विश्पतिर्दुरोणेऽग्निर्मन्द्रो मधुवचा ऋतावा ॥

Transliteration

sadyó adhvaré rathiráṁ jananta mā́nuṣāso vi-cétaso yá eṣām | viśā́m adhāyi viśpátir duroṇé'gnír mandró mádhuvacā ṛtā́vā ||

Translation

Sogleich im Opfer gebären die einsichtsvollen Sterblichen den schnellen Wagen des Weges. Agni ist in der Wohnung eingesetzt als Herr der Völker – freudvoll, honigsüß im Wort, Hüter des Ṛta.
