Sukta 7.29
उतो घा ते पुरुष्या इदासन्येषां पूर्वेषामशृणोॠषीणाम् । अधाहं त्वा मघवञ्जोहवीमि त्वं न इन्द्रासि प्रमतिः पितेव ॥
utó ghā́ te puruṣyā̀ íd āsan yéṣāṃ pū́rveṣām áśṛṇo ṛ́ṣīṇām | ádhāháṃ tvā maghavan johavīmi tváṃ na indrāsi prámatíḥ pitā́iva ||
Und wahrlich, deine waren jene menschlichen Hilfen — für die früheren Ṛṣi, auf die du hörtest. Darum rufe ich dich jetzt an, o Freigebiger (Maghavan): Du bist uns, o Indra, leitende Fürsorge und weise Voraussicht, wie ein Vater.
