Sukta 7.15

Rishi: Vasiṣṭha (traditional attribution for much of Maṇḍala 7; hymn 7.15 addressed to Agni in Vasiṣṭha cycle)

नि त्वा नक्ष्य विश्पते द्युमन्तं देव धीमहि । सुवीरमग्न आहुत ॥

ní tvā́ nakṣya viśpate dyumántaṃ deva dhīmahi | suvī́ram agna āhuta ||

Auf dich richten wir den Sinn, o Herr der Sippen; o lichtvoller Gott, in innerem Gedenken halten wir dich fest — o Agni, durch die Opfergabe angerufen — damit in uns die Kraft der Helden entstehe.
