vṛ́ṣāsi divó vṛ́ṣabhaḥ pṛthivyā́ vṛ́ṣā síndhūnāṃ vṛ́ṣabhaḥ stiyā́nām | vṛ́ṣṇe te índur vṛṣabha pīpāya svādú rásaḥ madhu-péyo várāya ||

Du bist die Stierkraft des Himmels, der Stier der Erde; der Stier der Ströme und der stierhafte Herr der festen Standorte. Für dich, o Stiermacht, schwillt der Soma-Tropfen (Indu): süß ist sein Saft, ein Honigtrank für den, der das Höchste erwählt.
