एवा जज्ञानं सहसे असामि वावृधानं राधसे च श्रुताय । महामुग्रमवसे विप्र नूनमा विवासेम वृत्रतूर्येषु ॥

Transliteration

evā́ jajñānáṃ sáhase ásāmi vāvṛdhānáṃ rā́dhase ca śrutā́ya | mahā́m ugrám ávase vipra nū́nam ā́ vivāsema vṛtra-tū́ryeṣu ||

Translation

So trete ich heran zu dem zur Macht Geborenen, dem stets Wachsenden zur Fülle und zum Erhören unseres Rufes. Den Großen, den Furchtbaren zum Schutz — o Seher — mögen wir ihn jetzt herbeiziehen zu unserer Hilfe in den Kämpfen gegen den Bedecker.
