Outer meaning

Let your yoked tawny steeds bring your chariot of all-desired boons, O fierce Indra. Even a singer calls you who possess the Sun-world; today may we prosper by your glad companionship in the session of ecstasy.

Inner meaning

The tawny horses (harayaḥ) are the dynamic energies of action and life-force disciplined (yuktāsaḥ) to carry the divine Mind’s movement (Indra’s ratha) into the seeker’s field. The ‘chariot of all boons’ (viśvavāra) is the integrated descent of powers needed for the journey. The singer (kīriḥ)—the expressive soul—invokes Indra as ‘possessor of svar’ (svarvān), the luminous world of truth. In the ‘sadhamāda’ (shared exhilaration), the practitioner grows through glad communion: not strain, but a luminous, joyful collaboration with the higher force.

Universal truth

When life-energies are yoked to a higher aim, the divine intelligence arrives as an integrated power bringing what is needed. Progress is fastest when effort becomes glad companionship with the Light, not a grim struggle.
