Sukta 6.24
सचस्व नायमवसे अभीक इतो वा तमिन्द्र पाहि रिषः । अमा चैनमरण्ये पाहि रिषो मदेम शतहिमाः सुवीराः ॥
sácasva nāyám ávase abhī́ka itó vā tám indra pāhi riṣáḥ | amā́ cainam áraṇye pāhi riṣó mádem śatá-himāḥ su-vī́rāḥ ||
Verbinde dich mit diesem Führer zu seinem Schutz, ganz nahe, von Angesicht zu Angesicht; oder schütze ihn von hier aus, o Indra, vor Schaden. Schütze ihn vor Schaden daheim und auch in der Wildnis, damit wir uns freuen—hundert Winter besitzend, reich an heldischer Kraft.
