Sukta 6.17
अध द्यौश्चित्ते अप सा नु वज्राद्द्वितानमद्भियसा स्वस्य मन्योः । अहिं यदिन्द्रो अभ्योहसानं नि चिद्विश्वायुः शयथे जघान ॥
ádha dyáuś cit te ápa sā́ nú vájrād dvitā́ anamat bhíyasā svásya manyóḥ | áhīṃ yád índro abhy-óhasānaṃ ní cid viśvá-āyuḥ śáyathe jaghā́na ||
Da wich selbst der Himmel vor deinem Vajra zurück; zweimal bog er sich aus Furcht vor deinem eigenen Zorn. Als Indra die Schlangenmacht schlug, die vorwärts drängte, da lag selbst das All-Leben hingestreckt, erschlagen in seiner eigenen Höhle.
