सो अग्न ईजे शशमे च मर्तो यस्त आनट् समिधा हव्यदातिम् । य आहुतिं परि वेदा नमोभिर्विश्वेत्स वामा दधते त्वोतः ॥

Transliteration

só agna ī́je śaśamé ca márto yás ta ā́naṭ samídhā havyádātim | yá āhútiṃ pári védā námobhir víśvet sà vāmā́ dadhate tvó­taḥ ||

Translation

Jener Sterbliche, o Agni, opfert und gelangt zur stillen rechten Ruhe, der durch das Entzünden deine Gabe, die Opferdarbringung, erreicht. Wer die Opfergabe ringsum erkennt, mit Verneigungen, der hält wahrlich alle begehrenswerten Füllen, von dir behütet.
