Sukta 4.18
परायतीं मातरमन्वचष्ट न नानु गान्यनु नू गमानि । त्वष्टुर्गृहे अपिबत्सोममिन्द्रः शतधन्यं चम्वोः सुतस्य ॥
parāyátīṃ mātáram ánv acaṣṭa ná nā́nu gā́ni ánu nū́ gamāni | tváṣṭur gṛhé apibat sómam índraḥ śatá-dhanyaṃ camvóḥ sutásya ||
Er beobachtete die Mutter, wie sie davonlief, (sprechend): „Nicht so — und ich werde nicht den gemeinen Spuren folgen; ich gehe jetzt nicht die gewohnten Wege.“ Im Hause des Tvaṣṭṛ trank Indra den Soma, den hundertfach reichen Trank, in der Schale gepresst.
