Sukta 4.1

अस्य श्रेष्ठा सुभगस्य संदृग्देवस्य चित्रतमा मर्त्येषु । शुचि घृतं न तप्तमघ्न्यायाः स्पार्हा देवस्य मंहनेव धेनोः ॥

asyá śréṣṭhā su-bhágasya saṃ-dṛ́g devásya citrá-tamā mártyeṣu | śúci ghṛtáṃ ná táptam aghnyā́yāḥ spārhā́ devásya maṃhánéva dhenóḥ ||

Die beste Schau ist die dieses Begnadeten; unter den Sterblichen ist sie die wundersamste: die Schau des Gottes. Rein, wie Ghee, zur rechten Glut erhitzt aus der unverletzten Kuh, ist sie begehrenswert; die Gabe des Gottes ist wie der überströmende Reichtum einer Milchkuh.
