सद्यो जात ओषधीभिर्ववक्षे यदी वर्धन्ति प्रस्वो घृतेन । आप इव प्रवता शुम्भमाना उरुष्यदग्निः पित्रोरुपस्थे ॥

Transliteration

sadyó jātá óṣadhībhir vavakṣe yadī́ várdhanti prasvò ghṛténa | ā́pa iva pravátā śúmbhamānā uruṣyád agníḥ pitrór upásthe ||

Translation

Sogleich neugeboren wächst er durch die Kräfte der Kräuter (oṣadhī), wenn sie, sich mehrend, seinen vorwärts drängenden Schub mit geklärtem Glanz (ghṛta) nähren. Wie Wasser am Abhang, sich schmückend, so weitet sich Agni und schützt im Schoß der beiden Eltern.
