Transliteration

kuvín mā gopā́ṃ karase jánasya kuvíd rājā́nam maghavann ṛjīṣin | kuvín ma ṛ́ṣiṃ papivā́ṃsaṃ sutásya kuvín me vásvo amṛ́tasya śíkṣāḥ ||

Translation

Wirst du mir wahrlich zum Hüter des Volkes werden? Wirst du mir wahrlich König sein, o Maghavan, du Lenker des geradstrebigen Ansturms? Wirst du mich wahrlich zum Ṛṣi machen, der vom gepressten Soma getrunken hat? Wirst du mich wahrlich in den Reichtümern des Unsterblichen unterweisen — in jenen Füllen?
