Sukta 3.1
अवर्धयन्त्सुभगं सप्त यह्वीः श्वेतं जज्ञानमरुषं महित्वा । शिशुं न जातमभ्यारुरश्वा देवासो अग्निं जनिमन्वपुष्यन् ॥
ávaṛdhayants subhágaṃ saptá yahvī́ḥ śvetáṃ jajñānám aruṣáṃ mahitvā́ | śíśuṃ na jātám abhy ā́rur aśvā́ devā́so agním jániman vapuṣyan ||
Die sieben mächtigen Ströme mehrten den Begnadeten – weiß in der Geburt, rötlich in seiner Größe. Wie Rosse zu einem neugeborenen Kind hinanstürmen, so eilten die Götter zu Agni; sie nährten sein Werden und ließen seine Gestalt leuchtend wachsen.
