Sukta 2.35
स ईं वृषाजनयत्तासु गर्भं स ईं शिशुर्धयति तं रिहन्ति । सो अपां नपादनभिम्लातवर्णोऽन्यस्येवेह तन्वा विवेष ॥
sa īṁ vṛ́ṣā janayat tā́su gárbhaṁ sa īṁ śíśur dhayati táṁ rihanti | só apā́m napā́d anabhimlāta-varṇó ’nyásyevehá tanvā́ viveṣa ||
Er, der mächtige Stier, legt in jene Wasser den Keim des Werdens; er, das Kind, trinkt ihre Milch, und sie liebkosen und nähren ihn. Das ist Apām Napāt, von unbeflecktem Glanz: hier tritt er ein und durchdringt mit seinem eigenen Leib, als wäre er aus einer anderen Welt.
