Sukta 2.27
माहं मघोनो वरुण प्रियस्य भूरिदाव्न आ विदं शूनमापेः । मा रायो राजन्त्सुयमादव स्थां बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥
mā́haṃ maghóno varuṇa priyásya bhūrídā́vna ā́ vidam śū́nam āpéḥ | mā́ rāyó rājan suyámād áva sthāṃ bṛhád vadema vidáthe suvī́rāḥ ||
O Varuṇa, möge ich nicht abfallen von der geliebten Gunst des freigebigen Gebers; möge ich das weite Glück gewinnen, das von den Wassern (Āpaḥ) kommt. O König, lass nicht die Fülle des Reichtums aus der guten Führung deines Gesetzes hinabsinken. Mögen wir das Große (Bṛhat) in der Versammlung sprechen, als Männer mit guten Helden.
