Sukta 2.23
उत वा यो नो मर्चयादनागसोऽरातीवा मर्तः सानुको वृकः । बृहस्पते अप तं वर्तया पथः सुगं नो अस्यै देववीतये कृधि ॥
utá vā́ yó no marcáyād anā́gaso 'rātī-vā́ mártaḥ sānukó vṛ́kaḥ | bṛ́haspate ápa táṃ vartayā patháḥ su-gáṃ no asyái devá-vītaye kṛdhi ||
Und wenn irgendein Sterblicher — wolfsartig, schleichend, im Willen feind — uns, die Schuldlosen, verwunden will: o Bṛhaspati, wende ihn ab von unserem Pfad. Mach uns den Weg gut und offen für dieses Herbeiziehen der Göttermächte.
