Sukta 2.23
देवाश्चित्ते असुर्य प्रचेतसो बृहस्पते यज्ञियं भागमानशुः । उस्रा इव सूर्यो ज्योतिषा महो विश्वेषामिज्जनिता ब्रह्मणामसि ॥
devā́ś cit te asurya prá-cetaso bṛ́haspate yajñíyaṃ bhāgám ānaśuḥ | usrā́ iva sū́ryo jyótiṣā mahó víśveṣām íj janitā́ bráhmaṇām asi ||
Selbst die Götter, o asurya, du Lichtvoller, die weitblickend im Bewusstsein sind, o Bṛhaspati, erlangten durch dich ihren Opferanteil. Wie die Sonne mit dem großen Glanz der Morgenkühe (uṣrā), so bist du wahrlich der Erzeuger aller brahman (heiligen Sprüche), die Quelle des schöpferischen Wortes in jeder Macht.
