Transliteration
tasmā́d yajñā́t sarva-húta ṛ́caḥ sāmā́ni jajñire | chándāṃsi jajñire tasmā́d yájus tasmā́d ajāyata ||
Translation
Aus jenem allumfassenden Opfer (sarvahuta) wurden die Ṛc‑Verse und die Sāman‑Gesänge geboren; daraus wurden die Metren (chandas) geboren; daraus entstand auch das Yajus.
