पुरुष एवेदं सर्वं यद्भूतं यच्च भव्यम् । उतामृतत्वस्येशानो यदन्नेनातिरोहति ॥
Transliteration
púruṣa evédáṃ sárvaṃ yád bhūtáṃ yác ca bhávyam | utā́mṛtatvásyeśā́no yád ánnenātiroháti ||
Translation
Der Puruṣa ist wahrlich dies alles: was gewesen ist und was sein wird. Und er ist der Herr der Unsterblichkeit, denn durch Speise erhebt er sich darüber hinaus, überragend durch das, womit er sich nährt.
